This article gives information about the transmission of micro-organisms causing Dysentery and also the factors causing the transmission of micro-organism causing Dysentery.


Dysentery is a inflammatory condition of the Stomach and Intestines causing passage of loose stools and mucus and sometimes blood is also passed through the stools.

Causes and Transmission of micro organisms causing Dysentery



Various Bacteria and Protozoan class of Micro organisms are responsible for causing Dysentery in an affected individual.

Other causes of Dysentery are Viral infections, Parasitic worm infestations and also sometimes due to Chemical irritants.

Of the above mentioned causes of Dysentery (Body Flux), the most common cause of Dysentery among developed parts and countries of the world is the bacillus from the Shigella group of micro-organisms which are responsible for the Bacillary type of Dysentery.

Another type of Micro-organism responsible for causing Dysentery in the developed parts and countries of the world is the Entamoeba histolytica micro-organism which is responsible for Amoebic type of Dysentery.

Amoebic Dysentery is more incident in the Tropical and hot with humid type of climate in the world and also has been found to be incident in the United States of America.
