What is Vaginal Douching?
Vaginal Douching or a Vaginal douche is a procedure by which The Vagina is rinsed or cleansed by forcefully pushing water or any other liquid solution into the Vagina so as to flush it away of any Vaginal Discharge.
Such Vaginal Douches are available over the counter at the local pharmacists and without the prescription of a doctor and in various fragrances.

Medicinal Douches are also available under Doctor's prescription for treatment of certain conditions.

Myths of Vaginal Douching
Myth 1 - Remove any remaining Menstrual Blood after the end of Monthly Period
Douching is not at all necessary to remove "any remaining Menstrual Blood". The body itself cleans all remaining blood after every menstrual flow.

Myth 2 - Remove a possible pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease after sexual contact
Douching by no means prevent pregnancy or stop any growth of sexually transmitted diseases. On the other stance, Douching scraps the living immunity cells of the Vagina and thus increases the chances of any infection.

Myth 3 - Decrease any Vaginal Odors
Do not Douche! Douching increases the odors in fact and can lead to infections on regular douching.
Feel "cleaner." The vagina actually cleans itself so vaginal douches are not necessary. Increased odors can result because of Yeast Infections and for which proper medical treatment should be taken.

Douching by Medicinal solutions should only be done under Doctors prescription and supervision and only with the Medicinal solution prescribed.
