What to do after a Bee sting

A Bee sting is a stinging type of pain feeling with a lot of burning which sometimes is only local at the site of sting by the bee or sometimes the feeling spreads through the whole body with intense feeling of itching and burning all over the body.

1. As a immediate treatment for the bee sting, immediately remove the stinger which the bee releases, with either your fingernail or by a clean and preferentially sterilized knife.

2. Now once the stinger is removed, blood or serum (liquid part of the blood) may ooze out and also the wound now becomes open. Wash the wound over and around the sting by ample amount of good soap and water to relieve the pain caused by the sting and also to reduce the quantity of poison of the sting from being absorbed inside.

3. Now you can apply an ice pack or Calamine Lotion or also a mixture of Baking Soda and water over the wound of the stinger and the surrounding areas to reduce the swelling and pain.

4. You can also apply Juice of a fresh crushed onion which also helps in antidoting the poison and thus to provide instant relief.

5. Seek advice of your doctor so as to avoid any possible outcomes of the sting bite arising due to shock and allergic reactions and other complications like difficulty in breathing, coughing, headache, unconsciousness.
