Sitting in a proper posture and breathing well always helps one to relieve stress. This article speaks one can do it properly.

Stress of an individual can be relieved by doing some simple step by step breathing exercise.

Things one have to do before doing this breathing exercise is:
1. Choose a quite and calm place
2. Switch off your mobile phone or better put that in silent mode
3. Choose the best posture, it can either be on a chair or on the floor.

Step 1 Sit in a comfortable position either in the chair or in the floor or lie down on the floor flat and close your eyes. Sit in a very upright position if you choose to sit on floor or chair. Breathe in air through your nose and hold it for about a few seconds(initially it can be 5 and slowly increased upto 10 seconds. Count 1 to 5 or 10). Breathe out through the mouth. Breathing out should be very very slow.

Step 2 Repeat this method for upto 10 to 20 times. While doing so, one have to think of each and every part of the body and think that it is getting relaxed.

Step 3 The whole breathing exercise will take upto 15 minutes and at the end of the exercise one will feel refreshed and relaxed (visualization is more important along with the breathing).

This exercise can be done regularly to get relaxed and relieve of personal stress.

I always suggest my patients to do Pranayam regularly.

It is one of oldest and most effective way of reducing stress and extra CO2 from our body.

A regular 21 days practice is suggested to get better results.

Keep medicating.

pranayama is a wonderful way to overcome stress and a whole lot of ailments. an easy and cost effective way to keep fit.
care should be taken by persons who have chronic diseases before starting on pranayama that too for a long time. it should be done under guidance for sometime before they can practice it regularly
some people can faint when they retain breath for sometime and hence it should be done under guidance initially
