Kids and Stress sources

In today's world even the kids have stressors. It is making the kids quite vulnerable at a very early age. There are a few factors that make the kids stressed up.

There are certain things like going late to school or dressing up badly make the kids stressed up but these things pass off quite easily. But there are certain factors that lead to a huge stress effect in the kids too. Kids tend to change highly due to these kind of stress.

Some factors that lead to stress in kids are:
1. Parents fighting with each other in front of the kids

2. Kids themselves fighting heavily with a close friend or sibling.

3. Studies and subjects especially those which they are not good at.

4. Birth of a new kid in the family

5. Moving to a new school.

6. Parents getting divorced and or getting re married.

7. Having a bad impression in class amongst fellow students.

8. Having a teacher at school who dont like

9. Not having enough money to spend like other kids do

How to find out whether your child is stressed out or not?
Unlike adults, kids dont normally vent out their feeling of stress, it is for the parents and teachers to look out for signs of stress.

They become withdrawn
They struggle with studies
They struggle with socializing
They spend more time alone
They dont talk looking at the eyes of adults
They dont eat properly
They dont wish to see or play with their friends
They gets disturbed more easily
They start telling lies

It is the duty of the parents to identify these stressors in time and help them come out of it.

Dear iCare,

Thanks for posting this article.

It is very important to understand the real position of mental health of our wards.

In present age where all sort of school study and other activities are fully loaded, our wards are really unable to cope up the situations related to the mental health.

Parent as well as the teaching community must understand the seriousness of the child health.

I strongly recommend to have a regular checkup for the whole school community from time to time.

Keep medicating.
Arvind
