Stress have become an inevitable part of today's life. Be it a young child or adult, every one is affected by stress according to their age. Stress exhausts the body to a greater extent and the natural defences are destroyed or reduced and thus the body is more susceptible to lots of health problems. Stress have to be carefully handled and it have to be removed to restore equanimity in our body.

What is Stress?
Stress is nothing but any individual's response to the demands that they face. The demands can be physical or mental or environmental. These demands can either be real or imaginary too. Still the body raises itself to such challenging situation by preparing itself to meet it by gathering mental focus, physical strength and stamina and increased alertness.

Good and Bad Stress
In a demanding situation when the body combined with a quick command from the brain reacts quite fast, even that situation is called as stress.

For eg: When a person is driving a two wheeler and he sees a old lady crossing the road suddenly, the brain commands to stop and inspite of that if the vehicle stops just close enough to the old lady, the body gets stressed up and the driver tends to sweat a lot. This is a temporary stress and are quite milder too but can be categorized under bad stress.

Getting ready to go out or sitting down for the final exam also makes a person stressed but these kind of stress does something good and gives better results. This can be categorized under good stress.

The above two are temporary stress but there are long term stress that every one faces too. Moving to a new job, moving to a new neighbour hood, moving to a new school, getting divorced all are long term stress. And except the first one, the other factors create stress to the kids of the family too.

Such long lasting low level stress leaves a hard impact on the people which gives a continued pressure on the nervous system that producing more of the stress harmones which deplete the over all energy and nutrient resources of the body thus ending up in an complete state of exhaustion. This leads to increase in blood pressure, increase in cholestrol levels increase in the acids of stomach, decrease in sex harmones, decrease in the rational thinking power resulting in damaged mental ability and agility are a few. These takes a toll on the immune system and so the body becomes more vulnerable and more weak.

1. Loss of sleep (insomnia)
2. Fatigue and excess anger
