The importance of calcium to children growth

Calcium intake is most important during childhood and teen years. Kids must have enough calcium in their diet to have strong bones. It is because calcium ensures they grow up tall and strong. It is also important for post- menopausal women.
Calcium can be obtained from the following;
• Skimmed and whole milk
• Yoghurt
• Sardines and salmon
• Oysters, green leafy vegetables, clams
• Citrus fruits
Calcium makes the children to have strong bones and also helps their brains which enable them to have retentive memory.
