ECG basically is abbreviation of Electro cardiogram. If indicates the electro physiological condition of the heart. From ECG we can diagnose certain heart ailments like Myocardial infarction which is known as heart attack in layman terms. Other conditions like heart block, ventricular hypertrophy which is a common condition in long standing hypertension.

ECG is the earliest and easiest way to daignose critical and life threatening conditions like heart attack.

Every person after the age of 40 even if they are normal should undergo a 12 lead ECG, it is a must in person which hypertension and diabetes even if there is not any additional disease. This ECG is very much helpful in comparing if any other ailment of heart occurs.
