Wheezing and Asthma are not directly related.
Although they both are belonging to the same system of the body, but wheezing is a protective mechanism of the body to remove any obstructing substance in the body while Asthma is a a disease level disturbance which means a condition where air does not reach the alveoli (air bags) of the Lungs from where the oxygen gets filtered and passed on into the blood.
